College Gridiron Showcase & Symposium Announces the Launch of CGS Combine Academy
Invite-only football combine testing academy to be open to college players in the NCAA transfer portal, NAIA schools and junior colleges.
Fort Worth – The College Gridiron Showcase (CGS), the largest post-season all-star football event in the country, announced today the creation of the CGS Combine Academy to record accurate data for college football players in the transfer portal, the NAIA, and Junior Colleges.
Similar to college pro days and national combines, players will be given official measurements for weight, height, hand, arm and wing span; as well as the 40-yard dash, pro agility drill, and standing broad jump. Players will also perform position drills and one on one’s (non-padded) which will be filmed. All information and film will be available to players and sent to SportSource Analytics for college teams to view in their Transfer Portal Tool, already used by over 70+ colleges and universities.
Tracking Football will also be leveraging the data to calculate industry-leading combine athleticism analytics for each player. The concept is to assist players still looking for a place to play in the upcoming season by providing colleges their measurables and film. There will also be seminars for players and their parents on NIL, financial training, and marketing.
Said CGS Executive Director Jose Jefferson, “The college football landscape has dramatically changed over the last few seasons – from COVID-deferments to a more player-friendly transfer portal system to rapidly nationalizing NIL standards. With this shift comes opportunity for players and universities alike. At the same time, with new opportunity comes a void in information. The CGS Combine Academy looks to fix that problem with the same professionalism and expertise that the College Gridiron Showcase has proven to produce over the last eight years.”
The workouts will be held regionally. The first workout will be in Fort Worth, TX on May 13th and 14th, 2022. These workouts will be invitation only and will cost $250. For more information, please email us at [email protected] or [email protected].
